The team’s focus was on ensuring its texturing detail surpasses most third-party Switch titles of its time, featuring rich textures for grass, rocks and sand. The game features a bright, whimsical Pixar-like cartoon aesthetic with an isometric top-down viewpoint. It seamlessly blends Nintendo’s classic Mushroom Kingdom visuals with Ubisoft’s wacky Rabbid characters. Soft lighting, vibrant saturated colors and tilt-shift depth-of-field give environments a charming miniature-world feel. Powered by Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, it delivers one of the highest-quality visuals on Nintendo Switch. Rich real-time shadows, dynamic particles and fluid character animations bring each themed world (jungle, desert, haunted mansion, snow mountain) fully to life. Mario-family characters are faithfully re-created, while goofy Rabbid designs add humour to every scene.
